Back when I had AT&T DSL, I also had elite, I was about 300 ft. from my RT and had perfect line stats, new drop, new jack, and only received 5200 at most on the download. That's just how it is with them. |

| was that post to me? if so no i have Buckeye Cable  No caps. But as far as dial-up- i have a ton of local companies i could pick from if i wanted them. I just refuse to pay for a landline and support ATT. |

You're going to wind up paying more for what you had before and getting less - and they know it. Further, eventually, dial up won't be available anymore. some law will ultimately render it obsolete and the FCC will restrict it back down to 9600 or 14.4 or something to make it used only for small credit card or fax machines..
it's bound to happen.. but taking a step back and paying more, like I said, you're not proving anything to them. |
