Problem started afterward. It was not up to speed as it should be even after the ramp up period. In fact, it would barely connect. When I called for a tech to condition the line, which installing tech did not do, they could not send an order through because they don't understand their own dummy phone # system for dry dsl.
Still have the temporary line running across my yard over 4 weeks after the install. Neighbors got a new phone line installed yesterday with temp line run. Line burier was at their house first thing this morning. He has no work order for burying my line even though two work orders have been written.
Here is the good part. Local techs & installers are great if you can get to them without going through the 'deathstar'. Line man will be burying my line in about 30 minutes, when he is through across the street. Local tech is putting in another work order using my original phone #. A call to the local tech two weeks ago got him over here that day to get my connection issues corrected. Less than 30 minutes after he arrived I was surfing full speed on that line, and have had no issues since.
If the att deathstar could actually use its own systems everything would work. Talk to your local tech. Get to know him. He can help most of the time. -- Live carefully today! Tonight you may answer for your actions. |
