I have a family plan with 3 lines, and myself and the others on the plan have used quite a few different 3G phones with AT&T since they first started offering 3G. We've always had tons of dropped calls with every 3G phone we've used on AT&T...EXCEPT the iPhone 3G. I've not had one dropped call since I got my iPhone 3G. And no, I do not have 3G turned off on it.

North Aurora, IL		 I've had the same experience, but I still get the drops on the iPhone as well (which might still point to local network issues..not hardware).
