Re: The glass ceiling has been "painted"

I'm sure they will eventually. All this traffic accounting information gets dumped into a database somewhere. That database just has to be tied into their billing system.

It really wont matter if they tell you how much you used, I do not even think they know how much individual customers use anyway. When I was on Comcrap I was accused of downloading 1.2TB in a month. The strange part about it, during the month I was accused of downloading 1.2TB my modem and computers were unplugged and I was out of the country. No one was in my house for the whole month and no one had used my internet connection.

I strongly believe there whole argument about heavy download users is bulls**t. I think they randomly target people for disconnection just because they need more room on the node for people who pay more even if it means they loose a customer of 10+ years like me who was paying close to $250 a month for there shitty service.

Now I am happily on Verizon FiOS, paying less for my service ~$210 and getting a much higher quality of service and many more television channels then I ever got with Comcrap.

Yep ... the process needs to be transparent. If they don't allow you to see your usage in near real time nobody will trust or accept it.

So I wonder if Comcast will provide each customer their badnwidth usage on their bill or will we just know when we go over the limit?
Exactly.

Where's the tool to allow us to view what Comcast says our usage is? I hope that's going to be enabled in October also.
