This story makes sense now

I have a friend that wanted to switch to just using cell phones. He called AT&T and told them he wanted to cancel his landline but wanted to keep his DSL. Well they did cancel the landline, but he also had no DSL. It took them a week to reinstate his naked DSL.

In a separate story, my next door neighbor called AT&T to order DSL. They told him he couldn't get DSL, which I told him was BS because I had it for over five years. What's even more ironic is that he was able to get DSL through another provider (MTCO). However, they told him that he would also need a landline. After reading this story, I'm guessing that when he called AT&T to order DSL he told them that he just wanted internet. They probably didn't want his business that bad.

Hearing incidents like these makes me glad I don't do business with AT&T anymore.
