| reply to MadCity BTN is broadcasting six games on Saturday, and only four are being produced in HD, with the stumbling block simply being a lack of equipment, BTN spokesman Mike Vest said in an interview Thursday.
"When producing that many games it's tough to procure enough HD-capable production trucks," Vest said. "We have some HD trucks but not six."
I love it. BTN can't even get equipment to the cable providers after trying to hold them hostage over the last year. What a joke. Don't get me wrong, it's about time we got the BTN here in Mad Town, and thanks to Charter for making it happen, but seriously, the BTN executives are morons. I was actually kind of enjoying having to leave my house to watch the Badgers. It gave me an excuse to see friends, go meet downtown and watch the game, or head over to the neighbors. Back to being a couch potato I guess |

| CBS has being doing this for years in the NFL. Each week there are games not in HD. They are only a year old and my guess is next year it will be all HD. I am not a Big Ten Fan but love College Football. I personally think it should have been in Digital Sports or Digital Basic. Picture is clearer and better sound not to mention does hit people do not want it. |

| reply to MadCity While I have no interest in -college- professional high school football, I'm glad the fans are getting what they want I wonder how long it will be before Charter raises the rates. |

Charter wanted to put BTN in the digital sports tier, BTN wanted to be on expanded (and the added revenue that comes with it). I believe price per sub was another large issue.
