wow ! that`s more than what I would pay for rent.

Although it makes me feel a lot better because my monthly electricity bill averages about $60 dollars x month.

Maybe you should look into some ways to cut your electricity usage, change your lights , get rid of power hogs, unplug items you are not using at night or during the day. (cable modem, Pc, peripherals, printer, cable boxes, tivos, radios)

In 3 story house with AC and few PC running - my "usual" bill 250ish.

thing with ConEd is that they convineintly for them did estimated billing in May-June-July too.

and it was "underestimated" as 800, 800, 900 Kwh when price was much lower.

That is way out of control!!!
Are you sure no one is tapping into your box???
Or do you have stuff running day and night???

My bill with
4 computers all day
3 TVs all day with video games
Frig
AC 10 12 hours a day
Washer n Dryer 3-5 times a week
Lights
etc
and I pay about $120 a month!!!
Which is double of what I paid last year!!!

dunno about some one tapping into me.

but I think you in NV paying 5 times less per kWh then we in NY.
But paying for water probably vice-versa.

The big thing is your cost of electricity.

Here in Kansas, our summer rate per kWh is $0.0977.

My usage was 2333 kWh last month (7/1 - 7/31).

Taxes and such brought the bill to ~$250.

I have the level pay plan her in CA and pay $21 per month.

Live alone in a 1500 sq foot home. 5 computers and 3 TVs.

1144 KWH = 119 dollars here. 2 street lights in the driveway. ide say considering i have a detached garage that my son works in a lot and the street lights something isnt correct with you bill. i dont have to pay for my water since i supply my own. no sewer bill either. doesnteveryone have a choice of which electric company you use.

That sounds like what I used to pay in CA.

Here in AZ I'm using about 2000kWh/mo during the summer (Heavy A/C usage) and that's about $250/mo.

in CA, I'd pay that much for using about 800kWh.

just got my bill in today, a little over 3100kwh, 356.00. fuel rate adjustment just went down some, and supposed to be back to less than 0.095 per kwh by next bill cycle.

Wow. My last electric bill was for 2069 kilowatt hours...
and it was $270.

My cost per kWh is a wee bit lower.

The cost for my energy usage was $133 last month.
Tack on the "fuel adjustment charge" of $213 and you get a total of $346. $10 of that is a "LURC Hurricane Charge".

Gotta love it.

Tho the local Co-op is cheaper here but not by much.

I consumed 188 kWh last month, bill was $71.89.

Sister consumed something around 790 kWh and hers was a little over $300.

At 2200 kWh needless to say, suck it up buttercup. Cut down your consumption.

Im in Queens and live in a 1 BR and my bill was $267 this month and $287 last. God, I hate Bush.
