And does not offer anywhere near the speed potential that FTTH can and does.
I'd have to agree with that assessment. FTTN, which is what ADSL2+ and VDSL are riding on in most deployments, can extend the competitive live of copper pair, in comparison with coax. It is not a substitute for FTTH.
