Eighty-two per cent of individuals with GCE/GCSE A to C grade have the web at home, while just 74 per cent of those with grades D to G live in a wired household. Those with no formal qualifications are least likely to have access to the web (56 per cent)."
This article seems to ignore the possibility that the kids who dont have internet access are likely in lower income homes, possibly single parent homes, and maybe even working night jobs or weekends with their parents to help pay the bills.
Just because two things co-incide, or are even directly related, that doesn't necessarily mean one causes the other. They could both be indicators of how healthy a child's home environment is. |
