How is your Tivo getting a signal if the 2 rf connections go to the TV and Cable Box? I am not a Tivo
user so I'm not sure how they work. But as for your signal

I changed to component and L & R audio cables—if there is a difference I can't tell. Perhaps if there were two sets side by side but otherwise it looks fine.

It also happened when I was recording People's Court from our local Ch 3, and, most every HBO or Showtime program. I send special programs to a friend who lives off-grid.

Since switching to component cables I haven't gotten a warning, yet.

Scientific Atlanta 4250HDC cable box
AT&T Series 2 TIVO

Connections:

2-way RF splitter, one to HDTV the other to cable box.
Component w/ L & R audio from cable box to Sony's Component w/ L & R audio (Video Line 1 In).
Cable box's L & R audio and S-Video Out to TIVO's L & R audio and S-Video In.
TIVO's L & R audio and S-Video Out to Sony's L & R audio & S-Video (Video Line 2 In).

What a waste. I just spent $70 on a 12' 1.3b HDMI cable. I'll try component cables and see if it fixes it.

I think it is the cable box, but not TW's doing. All HD cable boxes have copy protection built in so that you can't get a signal from HDMI and potentially pirate a "perfect digital copy". The component cable suggestion is a good one.

Everything appears to be working fine. I'm able to record and do PIP but occasionally when I have the TV Input set to TIVO and am recording the program will record and display correctly for about 30 mins and then I get the message, "Copy Protection The DVI/HDMI output is blocked. Press Exit to cancel." TIVO continues to record but only records that message. Sometimes the Exit button on the cable box remote works (removes the warning) and at other times it doesn't.

Nick at Oceanic Time Warner here in Hilo Hawaii says it's not the cable box. I say it is because the warning is the same colors (theme) as the cable box's Guide, Setup and Settings, etc. windows.

I have the HD/digital subscription.

Any suggestions?
