1 edit | reply to TKJunkMail The new AUP seems FAIRLY clear. It's nice to see clear caps established instead of the "cut your service by half" B.S. It would be better if they clearly defined their FAP system like SRS does. But this is a big improvement over the leaving customers to guess what abuse is model. The FAP section is still too vague to allow customers to make an informed choice whether to subscribe or not. |

When they increase the speed limits on the highway, does it mean you drive longer to work? Maybe not, but it certainly allows you to take a job farther from work. |

| reply to TKJunkMail Its a terrible policy. These terms were not made upfront when you ordered the service and now they are changing them. Everyone knows the hassle in trying to change your cable service and in most places only one provider is available. So like most issued with a cable company... your screwed...either take it or move. |

According to Comcast, you use your Internet service more than 500% more than their average customer. The average Comcast subscriber doesn't know DOCSIS from a boat dock.
The average Comcast subscriber is not a DSLr member. I'd even go as far as to say that not a single DLSr member fits the definition of an "average subscriber". |

What was the level of this alleged abuse ? The desire for us, the users, getting a clear contract and the service we paid for. Can't argue that !Competition at the local level in the Internet access market so that customers have a choice of internet providers and providers have an incentive to offer good valuable service to customers. Nor that.Good enough for you ? Is that a rhetorical question ? There are about 6 strong CC supporters here that incessantly support CC no matter how wrong they are sometimes in my opinion. The phrase "In my opinion" seems to be a popular disclaimer. I believe it is fair that upset customers should also have a voice. Even by CC's own admission, there are at least 14 thousand people that have been dropped, banned or threatened. Should they not have someone representing their point of view ? So you have elected yourself to single handedly perform this monumental and noble task ? |

| reply to TKJunkMail Wil the alloted amount be higher then 250 gigs?
Even though they are saying 250 gigs to the public, I would be curious if the real # is higher (say 260 - 280 gigs) to cover discrepancies, overhead, etc.
It's kind of like when you receive a bill saying pay us by this date or we'll cut you off, and a few days, passed the cut off date, your service is still working. |

I think it's a step in the right direction and 250GB/month is generous. I believe they need to agree to review and raise the caps on a regular basis however, along with providing a reliable meter for a customer to gauge their usage. -- Linux Haters Unite! |

| reply to TKJunkMail I remember when I metered a total of 32 GB of data one month and was worried I may have done too much, abused the service.
Now it turns out people are whining about a 250GB cap?
Wake me when it's a 32GB cap. |
