Most mainland stores charge us here in Hawaii between $15 & $25 for s&h plus we pay the return postage for broken stuff. It's easier to buy here and get it quicker and have the benefit of immediate return/refund.

Kerry
it would have only cost 14.68$ shipped to HI for two cables

the odds of getting a broken cable is a 1 in a million

Thanks all.

Easy solution is to not use the HDMI cable and switch to the component video cables.
What a waste. I just spent $70 on a 12' 1.3b HDMI cable. I'll try component cables and see if it fixes it.

You shouldn't be able to notice a difference in video quality changing to component video.
Re: "shouldn't" Won't I technically lose the color enhancements available in the 40Z4100 if I don't use the HDMI cable?

Much appreciation, Kerry
