Re: Bandwidth Monitor for Computers-Suggestions?

Too bad Comcast has not come out with a usage tool yet. I haven't heard anything from Comcast regarding the status of it.

So for now, I still use my router. Even after they release the tool, I will still use my router and "compare" the results.

It will be interesting.

That is Tomato firmware, correct? Have you installed the latest version, the one that keeps a rolling 30-day total?

Yea, this is Tomato 1.22 (latest version). I found it to be more superior than DD-WRT.

I was referring to the bandwidth monitoring section, sorry.

Tomato is much faster, and the bandwidth monitoring section is more advance and easier to use/setup.

Thank you. Useful new feature, IMO. I like Tomato as well, just noticed the upgrade yesterday.

Re: Bandwidth Monitor for Computers-Suggestions?

I figured this died a long time ago.

Still using WRT and its fine. I found out, btw, if the power is lost to the router, you only lose that day of stats-the rest are written to memory. How long that can happen before it runs out is anyones guess though.

November has been a banner month for me...34 GB! OMG!

22.6 GB -- but none of it on Comcast.

Remember, "the typical user uses only 3 GB" so we're all pretty much hogs.
