Google's approach to privacy is a decade behind Microsoft, the Redmond software giant's chief privacy strategist told ZDNet Australia on Thursday in a video interview.
Cullen said that Google had not invested enough to build privacy into its products, citing Street View, as a prime example.
Google's lead engineer for its Maps application Lars Rasmussen has previously brushed off criticisms of its approach to privacy.

Google's privacy statements yesterday came on the heels of comments by Google "Evangelist" Vint Cerf to the Washington Technology Alliance's annual luncheon in May where he explained that "nothing you do ever goes away, and nothing you do ever escapes notice...
