Re: BEWARE Terms of Service Change

vxbinco : The service term as defined in TOS, 6.1:

"Your service term refers to the period of time for which we will bill you periodically in advance (for example, one month or one year). The service term is the term that you selected from the options available when you signed up for our service. Your first service term begins on the subscription date, which is the date you first ordered service or the date we successfully process your payment, whichever is later. It is not the day you receive the equipment you ordered or the first time you use the service."

So, if you pay for monthly, then that is your "service term" and every month it renews. If you pay by the year, then that is your "service term" and every year it renews.

The only issue is that if you take their year pre-paid promotion, be careful to cancel before the anniversary date, to avoid paying for another year. None of the pre-paid is refundable. Nor is any month, on a monthly plan, pro-rated for refund--you pay for the whole month.

As the previous poster tried to make clear, do not confuse "service term" with "disconnection fees" or "commitments" based on rebates and promotions.
