Re: what about VoIP? FCC is coming again 0 I can feel it... Of course it wont affect comcast voice. However, that is just another sneaky tactic to get more people to sign up for their crappy services. "Use VoIP alot? Go over your bandwidth limits? Switch to comcast voice and never have to worry about that again. The only thing you will have to worry about is the high bill and the service never working. *laughter in the background*"
If comcast uses that in their commericals; I'm suing! |

 | Comcast doesn't run their VOIP on their HSI network, so the caps won't impact their voice service.
Skype, Vonage, etc would count towards your cap.
The FCC are the ones that told Comcast they had to announce the cap, so don;t look for them to save you from the caps. |

Let's say you find a place where comcast says this. I still wouldn't believe it. Comcast VoIP and Comcast VOD (Video On Demand) all use the same pipe. Now, I'd believe that they are not included in the bandwidth metering, but there's still a critical part of the 'HSI network' used by Comcast VoIP, namely the part where congestion is hardest to prevent and most common. -- AT&T is the world's second-largest SpamHaus and leads an Organized Crime Syndicate. Also see TURN.org or UCAN. |

I agree. All comcast's services come from the same coax cable, and presumably the same pipe to the pedestal in your backyard. If they give you a different colored cable for each of YOUR services, let us know and include a pic too. |
