As a blind computer user, I'm hoping the skype 4.0 interface will still be able to be used by those of us who are blind. The interface skype has now works well, why should it be changed? Granted I haven't used 4.0 yet, but I'd want to be sure I'll be able to use it before putting it on my system. Also, why drop skypecasts? there are oddities of skype I don't like, for example when I'm in a call, and a PSTN user calls me, alot of the time, the number comes up as unknown, even though the number's caller ID isn't being blocked. Also, when I'm in a conference and an "Unknown" number calls, I can't add them to the existing conference! finally if I'm hosting a conference, why can't they allow others to also host conferences, like in older skype 2 releases? Other than those oddities, I have had good luck with skype, even with my skype in and skype out abilities. I think Skype may be the only provider that allows for calls over 2 hours per call, since many other SIP type providers drop your call without warning after 2 hours and I hate that! |
