I am no longer using skype after the past 2 years and never having any SPAM now for the last 2 weeks I've been getting a ton of them I get them now like every 20-30 seconds telling me to look at their sexy webcam... whats even worse is I go and select BLOCK on someones name and then that person can still message me.. why have a block option if it doesn't work.
I have that problem also, but look at their usernames carefully when blocking. They'll be different by like one number or letter... You just have to keep blocking. It took me about two weeks of blocking spam to get it under control. Now I only get random spam about twice a week. Much less than Windows Live messenger.

Re: no longer use skype

It depends on how public your screen names are. Mine are all over the web (I'm an IT consultant) and get picked up by spambots. If you keep your names private, then you should be fine. I have an AIM account that I use for my home that is an internal IM network. The name never leaves the house, and I haven't gotten spam on it for nearly 4 years now.

Re: no longer use skype

My Work AIM/MSN/YAHOO/SKYPE/GTALK names are all over the name yet Skype is the only one I get SPAM on.
