During my time as a SL customer they never would tell me where the actual caps were, but my best guess is somewhere between 15-20GB.
Millerfan30 : Can't blame you; Buzz. I live in La. I had trouble with Cox. But when Suddenlink took over, my speeds were so much better. Even my 2 laptops I have on wireless run at very good speeds. I just think it's kind of crappy that you have to pay extra when you don't have cable with them. But $5.00 more a month isn't bad. Especially when I get the speeds I get. Hope you get things worked out soon. ;)

They're not against micromanaging customers, so you may get some special treatment in order to get it fixed. I'm sure you're going to have to go this route, as 99.9% of their tech support is outsourced, so if there's not a script or hint page with specific information regarding your types of issues, they'll simply continue to troubleshoot common problems. Obviously you don't fall into that category.

You can find Pete's contact info everywhere on this forum, so there's no need in me publishing his email address :)

anon : Sure wish I had another provider to go with, i'd ditch Sl in a New York minute! Dozens of modem resets. I'm a gamer, and I cant play anything online anymore. Last night, just for sh!ts and giggles, I jumped into a server, and was pinging around 180 or so. After about 2 minutes in game, I started to lag horribly. I checked my ping agin, and it had jumped to around 800. Checked again about 3 seconds later, and it dropped down to 450 or so. Checked again 3 seconds later and WOW!!! It spiked all the way over 13,000ms !!! never in my life had I seen such a high ping. It stayed up over 10,000, for about the next 5 minutes, before dropping back down to about 600ms. It just went up and down. I gave up after about 10 minutes. I've talked to a couple different Comcast techs, when I see them out and about. I asked them when Comcast is going to pull a hostile takeover from SL. They laughed, and said they've heard LOTS of horror stories from SL customers. One of the Comcast techs i talked to told me, that he has to use SL for internet, and his service is terrible as well. I feel bad for all SL users, especially the ones (like me and the Comcast tech) that have no other alternative. I would be better off, tying packets to a pigeons' legs and tossing it out my window to deliver.
