I've got a bad, constantly Disconnect connection from a WinXP PC into a Westell 327. The Disconnect-Connect flags on WinXP occur twice a second, or perhaps 5 times every 3 seconds, and they'll run for hours, days.
This is a new development over the last several weeks, according to the customer, but it ran for its initial months perfectly. "Nothing has changed."
Swapping Cat-5 cables, LAN ports doesn't change. I have moved the PC to another house and it works fine, so Verizon's claim that the NIC is the problem is just another sign of their desperate attempts to distract me from understanding they too can't figure it out.
I can't even log into the unit reliable (192.168.1.1) because it times out. Sometimes I can PING it, sometimes not because of the constant DISCONNECT-CONNECT cycle. |
