I tend to agree with you on that point. The 'average' user (not the typical BBR user) wouldn't typically notice much of a difference between a 1.5Mbps and a 10Mbps connection for going onto 'MySpace', 'Facebook', or sending/receiving emails (sure large JPGS may send/receive in 3 seconds rather than 15). To me, it typically comes down to the bottom line (not cost/Mbps, but bottom line cost). Eg. I was paying $27/month for 3Mbps/512kbps and it worked VERY well, with no complaints. The ONLY reason that I switched to TWC 6Mbps/512kbps was because I got a better overall deal on price. $89/month for Voice, HSI and TV. I'd take a 3Mbps package if it saved and extra $10/month... why not. I don't _really_ need it. -- Canada = Hollywood North |
