said by AnonShawUser :Enjoy having to abide by Telus' laws, then. In Alberta, Teksavvy has to get its bandwidth from Telus, just as it has to get it from Rogers out in the east, and thus is subject to the same at-whim rules and caps. Teksavvy gets its' *last mile* bandwidth from Bell out east, not Rogers.
TELUS isn't throttling wholesale DSL subscribers right now. No caps, either, if you mean monthly caps imposed by TELUS on wholesalers. -- - The content of this post is my opinion, and does not necessarily reflect the opinions of my employer. - |

| reply to noob Seems like my shaw is getting some new kind of throttling, in utorrent the upload won't go past 25kbps no matter what, download speeds are ok and can get to the 1mbps they usually do, yesterday and prior upload was always 100kbps maxed out.
I ran a speed test and a test to find out if your isp is throttling torrents and both came back ok and also other things upload fine at around 100kbps but it's only utorrent, encryption is on but it doesn't do anything anymore.
I've tried reinstalling the program and different ports but it's the same? Anyone experienced anything similar or found a way around this? |

| reply to noob In Vancouver, Marpole area... for the last month or so I cannot get more than 10 kbps upload and downloads are also restricted, cannot get more than 80 kbps or so. Encryption doesn't work. I've limited download speed when seeding but that didn't work either. I called tech support to ask if I had reached my monthly limit, but tech said I was far from it and still under. |
