Local HD stations not showing in 16:9

Over the last week the local stations allways viewed in 16:9.
Now they do not show up in 16:9. I have a DCH3216 box with the settings set at 720p and the 480 set to stretch which it does. I have it hooked to a Samsung 37" 720 p Television. What would have changed over the last week to cause this. All settings are the same as they have been for the last 3 or four months.

I am sorry if I did not give my question correctly. Is this something that is normal or do I have to change something in my setup. Sorry again if I did not give the correct question and again thanks for any reply.

Are any of the other HD channels like HD Theater still in widescreen? Make sure 720p isn't in stretched. It could just be those stations are doing something, or the programs are not broadcasted in 16:9 and are just being upscaled to 720p but 4:3.
