Why the US faces broadband price hikes

Bull. Nothing here will change. We'll see a few cable providers cap (eg TWC, Cox, Comcast), even an occasional bloodsucking telco do it (Frontier), but no changes in how prices are increased. We'll continue to see the exact same occasional price increases we always have.

Meanwhile telcos, seeing what happens when you raise prices (they get no new customers), has dropped them again which will spur another intro price war between telcos and cable. So in the short term, expect to see more deals from telcos and more 6-12 month deals from cable.
