[General] VOIP Reseller Services Available?

We are an IT Solutions Provider who is reselling Wireless Broadband. We are looking for a VOIP provider who can offer Private Label or Reseller Services. Can anyone recommend VOIP Reseller Services? With the "Recession-like" economy, something economical would be ideal.

Thanks!

In my experience... wireless net needs to be extra clean if voice is going to be riding on it.

As far as reselling goes.. residential or business?

Thanks for the reply.

We would be focusing primarily on business, but would not rule out residential in the future.

The only issue I see with business is faxing, as many of us know... faxing is not as reliable for Voip as traditional POTS lines.

how many stations could you commit to within 6 months, 12 months?

the basic idea is if you're anticipating several hundred, that means that you're hiring staff to pitch it and install it and support it -- then you get yourself a private label deal with big commitment and lowest wholesale cost, and do your own billing and register with FCC as a carrier.

if you're not going to hire dedicated staff to sell it, and not real sure if you can sell it or that anyone would buy it, then you get yourself an agency deal with low commitments and they do all the fulfillment and billing, then pay out a residual. if the marketing works, then you can move up to the wholesale deal.

or you can simply run banner ads and have it be completely self service and sell the provider's branded service for $60 to $75 a pop.

as with other things, size matters.

RockyBB,

The second option seems to fit at this time. As a wireless internet provider, we get many requests for phone service, and sometimes even cable service.

For now, something with a Private Label that takes care of all fulfillment seems to fit. I've seen some of these offered on a "per line" basis, but we're also looking at fitting enterprise environments (30+ lines), so package deals to resell would be great as well.

I would agree with ROCKY.

Here is the big issue. If you try to have your own billing and support staff you will have have the right support team. Not an easy thing. We spend over here about 50% of the time getting peoples questions and problems taken care of and the other 99% of the time hunting down fraud.

Unless you have a giant volume ready to go, you would be best to be on a deal where you get an override, then switch later if the volume warrants it.
