Re: Pixelation Woes

HELP
I am having pixelation problems as well on my brand new install (only a week old). I called tech support and they stated that everything looks good.

My RG has lost the connection a couple of times where I'd get a red flashing light at the bottom of the RG; where I'd lose everything temporarily then after a few minutes it would return.

I have new line coming from the pole to the (old) box then new twisted pair coming to the RG.

What can I do? I'd rather get this fixed then cancel, I'm not sure what profile I am on; I am supposed to have 2HD/2SD with 3mg internet. I can email apeface my account number if needed.

Thanks in advance.

Unplug the power to the RG for a minute and plug it back in. If that doesn't work, try doing a factory reset on the RG, hold the reset button for 10-15 seconds and wait for it to reboot. (That's all tech support will tell you to do anyway, I just saved you 30 minutes on hold.)

Make sure your RG is not sitting on a carpeted floor, static buildup will cause pixellation. Also make sure it is not too close to the TV or sound system speakers, these also will cause interference and pixellation issues with the RG.

Thanks, the tech installed RIGHT next to the TV, I just finished moving it. I will monitor and see if that helps.
Thanks
