just a business publication carrying water for the telco industry.

as long as you get an occasional story here and there about "price wars" or "competition" or "increased value", the incumbents can claim competition exists with a straight face.

The FCC and congress are fooled, consumers have a vague impression that maybe there actually is competition and life goes on just as it was before.
