Steel Panthers will always hold a place in my heart. The Great Naval Battles games were fun. Harpoon was an awesome game. Same with all of the old SSI wargames on the older Apple machines. I think the most fun I ever had with a war game was The Hunt For Red October on a Tandy 1000 TX ca. 1991. I still play Close Combat 3 every once in a while.
I have three Avalon Hill bookcase games sitting on my shelf...Panzergruppe Guderian, Arab Israeli Wars, and Panzer Leader. Somewhere in a box a copy of Squad Leader sits unplayed. I used to have more but I sold my collection to a friend about 5 years ago. These are all I've been able to find at the local garage sales/flea markets.
