Even on the University level I rarely ran into someone like you.
Intellectuals rarely correct other people, in fact, they are very respectful of others ideas and thoughts because they know that mankind's knowledge is centered in a large circle with a dot in the middle of the circle and we are still on the dot.
Do you have any idea how users view your mental health?
Your long incoherent post to me after I offered to help you build your son a computer was on a 3rd grade level of knowledge of how to put one together and what it takes and what it costs.
Your rambling response reminded me of the last scene where the captain sits in the witness chair and says, "ah, the strawberries that, that's where I got them" as he rolls the two ball bearings in his hand.
As the entire Royal Court Room sits silently in amazement at what he says.
That was my response after reading your response to my offer to help you...silent amazement that my offer to help you build your son a top of the line super computer for free was answered like a pouter pigeon.
You are out of touch with reality.
My reflection with you is over. |

| Wow, this just shows how out of touch with reality you are. You did NOT offer to build anything "for free" (that's a joke) as I have decades of build experience, you only offered to show me how to spend my money (you are a big help with that as it is all you post as a solution) in a wasteful manner when it's not needed and it's not asked for (you know what anecdotal means, right?). Again you are forcing your improperly formed conclusions on others that unnecessarily involve throwing money away when simpler, free or cheaper solutions exist and should stop as your lack of experience is showing. Your BS about building a "super computer" is such a out of touch statement and it is sad you can't see it. Top of the line, maybe for 3 to 6 months then obsolete, but no where near being a super computer, Professor.
When I see people post about a scene from some unnamed movie they watched (like movies are based on any reality) that just seals the deal. You must be very lonely and confused as to why no-one wants your company and advice. You may have had all this power at scaring your former students into kissing your bum when you were employed and now you are powerless over people and can't handle that you are not always right and people no longer bow down to your demands. Your former tactics don't work in the real world, and you have been equalized to a common man again with a common opinion. Sorry to shock you, but your opinion is worth less even more now as you show you can't handle constructive criticism and that you clearly lack the proper experience to help others other than using your crutches on telling them how they have to spend money (instead of helping them to think for themselves and actually use a proven no cost fix) as throwing money at a problem is the only fix you know. That reflects on your teaching style and it indeed says a lot. None of it good though.
Reflection? You need some introspective time instead. -- Whats the point of owning a supercar if you cant scare yourself stupid from time to time? |

JimmyCarter1, you remind me of the one guy that always seems to find his way into a circle of computer nerd friends. You know, the guy who always talks about having a bigger and better system than his peers and has to always be right about everything.

1. It is ok to personally attack other posters.
2. All the mods went to Kmart ?. -- " Laugh while you can ... monkey boy " |

1 edit | There is a subtle difference between "attack" and "counter-attack".
Yet any Chinese widom "The fight could have been avoided if you don't fight back".
I am sure MODs are constantly monitoring this and lock it if they see fit. If a so call "attack" has a point, is it still an "attack"? No law to require a person to be nice, but laws to limit illegal activities. Not enforcible or nobody to enforece it is another matter.

Since people these days have such a hard time deciding what's wrong or right, I'll answer your question... YES! |
