<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1293405"><b>Jodokast96</b></A> : Yes, you can, but really, it won't make any bit of difference.  Your speeds aren't slow; they are just not consistant.  This is because there are a large number of packets being re-transmitted.  There is plenty of throughput to get them from point A to point B, but when the connection has to basically stop to send packets it has already sent, it will cause a very brief drop in speed, kind of like a hiccup.  Do it over and over, and you get what you are currently seeing.  Want to see that there is nothing wrong with your speeds?  Go to &raquo;<A HREF="http://speakeasy.net/speedtest" >speakeasy.net/speedtest</A> and run one of the tests on the West Coast.  You'll see pretty smooth and nearly full speeds.]]></description>

Nearly 4 years now.  But I still use Win2k, so I have no problem with the workaround.  When I first heard about Vista's auto-tuning, I was excited and thought that maybe Verizon was just getting ahead of coming technology.  But sadly that wasn't the case.]]></description>

However when you have a Juniper in the mix, the opposite is true.  Up to XP, changing the RWIN isn't much of an issue.  However with Vista everything changed and those settings no longer have any effect, and Vista's auto-tuning doesn't compensate.]]></description>

If at the last or second to last hop there is an ERX in the router name, you are on a Juniper.  Drop your RWIN down to 13068 and your speeds will normalize.  If however you are running Windows Vista, you are out of luck.]]></description>

If the moving ball or the tachometer is very jittery/freezes/stalls, you might want to post about this issue in the Verizon Direct forum so they can see what is going on before things get worse, if another nearby server and a west coast server show the same inconsistent results and/or a non-steady "ball" or tachometer. Otherwise, the upload and latency is fine.]]></description>

Also the below thread will explain everything you need to know about FastPath. Otherwise, your line is in good shape as it is with the 2200 with a good margin, proper sync and with FastPath. If you want, you can post up a speed test and a trace route for us. My upload speed dosent jump, and is at about 700-750kbps. Same, slow results from verizons speedtest, and I will post a speetest.]]></description>
