[speed/latency] New Line on our block

Verizon is putting a new line on the pole in my neighborhood. (not a new drop) My speeds are,

My question is, will this help? I'm paying for 1.5/3.0 down.

Any opinions?

The new line might help if your current line has degraded. Mind showing us your line stats by the way?

Is that the line quality test?

Are you sure you didn't mean 1500/384?

The stats Smith6612 See Profile requested are from the modem/router. That displays line attenuation and signal margin. Depending on specific equipment you have access details are slightly different.

You gotta directly connect the computer to the Westell modem. Then goto your browser (don't worry if you get no connectivity message). Go to:

192.168.1.1/transtat.htm

Copy and paste the stats to this forum.

Hope this helps,
Cheers,

Since you are using an external modem need to temporally disconnect it from the router and connect it to a PC.

Is Westell a modem only or a modem router combo that you have set to bridge mode to use the Linksys router? I'm assuming you are using an old Westell dumb modem.

Run the Westell diagnostic program to display stats. Instruction say to set an IP address on the PC. You can ignore that any address will work. If you have not already done so need to download diagnostic program from the Westell site.

I don't think it is documented anywhere but you hit "cntrl Alt F7" to access line stats page.
