What wiring problems have you heard of causing fires? U-Verse internally uses your existing coax or they run new coax or cat5e.

Taxes for U-Voice should be similar to Cable VoIP's +/- $5 depending on area.

There were no fires nor were their wiring problems. Everything available so far indicates a bad batch of batteries from a specific manufacturer that caused 4 sites to explode.

Which is funny because it just as easily could have happened to cable TV too.
