<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/619487"><b>computerman2</b></A> : Yup it's allowed, removed and readded, then tried opening Steam with NO Success at all, then just gonna start backing stuff up, and eventually when i got time, remove VIsta, and Go Back to Windows XP Home Ediiton,  Steam works fine on PC 2 with XP Home Edition, but some reason no longer wants to work on Vista at all.  ]]></description>

Go into your controll panel and click on Firewall Icon . Check to see if it is allowed . I had to remove it from the list and then reallow it . Hope this helps .]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/619487"><b>computerman2</b></A> : Downloaded from www.steampowered.com both times, also tried installing on my second hard drive, previously was on my Main C Drive, ran chkdsk, defrag, scanned for viruses and spyware with Windows Live Onecare 2.5, previously was running Norton Internet Security, but removed that due to other unrelated issues, but can try running Nortons Removal tool later, reinstalling Steam again, and see if that helps any at all.  Just wanted to play Counter Stike Source and such this morning]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/619487"><b>computerman2</b></A> : Hey All<br><br>Steam Issues on WIndows Vista--Any ideas on solving this issue, it loads up, then it's blank on Create New Account or Login to an existing account page--yes i uninstalled via add remove progrrams, cleaned registry, restarted, removed Norton Internet Security 2008, and still haven't got anywhere with it.<br><br>PC SPecs are<br>AMD Athlon 64 2.21<br>4gbs of ram<br>Nvidia 8600GT Video card PCI Express<br>Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Gamer Sound card<br>Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit<br><br>Upgraded to Vista recently, clean install, well over the top of Vista after the first install.
