nate1234 : well, I don't know, but currently my speeds have been slow (2000kbps). Maybe some new tech. I used to get 2900-3100kbps (last week).

Smith6612 : Well, there is the 7.1Mbps speed, but that's about it. Otherwise, he's probably talking about in congested areas where there may not be enough bandwidth for use. Basically saying, if your area has a lack of bandwidth, everyone is pulling into everyone's bandwidth and slowing everyone down, but if your area has left over bandwidth that is just sitting there, idling, you can get your full bandwidth speed. I'm wondering if he was thinking about PowerBoost though, as that sounds like it as that's what PowerBoost does.

nate1234 : I called Verizon today about a connection issue, and they said that my service was upgraded (after i called about upgrading to 7.1mbps or FiOS) to a service that allows me to used others bandwidth when it is not in use. I didn't think that sounded right, but I did question it (i want faster internet) he says it will go up to 7.1mbps or higher.

Anybody have any insight as to whether this exists?
