Are they talking about only the GSM version of 3G?

I wonder if this report is referring to only the GSM version of 3G (W-CDMA, HSDPA), or if they are counting the CDMA version of 3G (EV-DO). For example, most of the phones on Verizon Wireless are EV-DO capable, and almost all of their native network is EV-DO capable. It seems to be common for folks in the GSM world to equate "3G" with W-CDMA/HSDPA, even though the term "3G" as defined by the ITU includes both the GSM and CDMA family.
