Thomson/RCA DHG536

Is anyone using one of these I just got one yesterday from Comcast as part of adding Digital Voice to my Internet and Cable service.

In looking at the forum here and Google, I see a few references to the DHG535 but none to the DHG536.

Just wondering what the differences might be between the two.
So far (first 24 hours) I've not had any issues with the modem and it does still respond to the 192.168.100.1 address just as my previous SB5100 did.

nice. some areas like MD were having issues because the newer DHG536 didnt have a bootfile in the comcast system. they escalated a ticket for that so i guess it's resolved.

It's an EMTA thing. It's normal to see an EMTA with a walledgarden config file, even if they subscribe to and can surf the Internet through Comcast.

Probably just showing from the registration process. His present config most likely will not show in the log.

Are you absolutely positive about that? Doesn't seem right to me.

We had an outage yesterday, here's the config file that was loaded once the outage was corrected.

SW Download INIT - Via Config file d11_v_dhg536_speedtier_c02.cm

This would appear to be correct since I do have the Performance Plus package.

One thing I've noticed though is that since we added Digital Voice (to join the Triple Play package) my uploads as tested here at DSLreports (Java test) seem to be a little lower than when I had the SB5100 modem, before being replaced the uploads on the SB5100 would approach 3000 vs. the Thomson seems to stay around 1500.
