The 2210-02 is a router, and the DX-E402 is a router, so it is no wonder your PC is confused.
You really want a small switch, rather than another router.

To demote the DX-E402 to a switch, sign in to it, »192.168.0.1 and use admin as a user id, no password. Turn off the DHCP server (page 21 of the PDF) and then connect the two routers via the LAN ports, leaving the DX-E402 WAN port empty forever. (page 7 of the PDF) -- I tried to remain child-like, all I achieved was childish. |

perhaps you should google port forwarding.
jimbopalmer it does not matter that the dx is a router that is not causing confusion with the netopia. unless it is having a ip collision conflict. Ie both having the same Ip address.
i would set the dx to 192.168.2.1 and that should correct any ip collisions as the netopias run on 192.168.1.254

| reply to captnCandy The Netopia/Motorola should be at 192.168.1.254 and acting as your router and default gateway.
The DX-E402 should be acting as a dumb switch, so should have no address.
If a PC is attached, it should be possible to type IPCONFIG /ALL at a command prompt to find out your actual gateway and subnet mask. -- I tried to remain child-like, all I achieved was childish. |

read over these.
you might have to hook up to the DX router and find its wan/lan configuration and change it to 192.168.2.1 power cycle it then hook it to the netopia

| This is a raw DSL line near Stockton CA, so now you are not running ANY router.
Either turn routing on in the Netopia/Motorola, or factory reset the DX-E402, so you have at least one router -- I tried to remain child-like, all I achieved was childish. |

 | im not really sure what u mean how would i reset it |
