| [Serious] Emma needs more prayers
Ms Emma is having surgery in the morning. They put a stoma in to fix her intestinal problems temporarily and messed it up. Now she is leaking inside and they have to go in and fix it. Plus she has a blood clot next to her heart. Plus her platlets are low. Please keep her in your prayers. |

Sorry, I have been driving all day and just got parked and got the old laptop going.
Ms Emma came through the surgery fine. She now has two stomas according to Rosa, which I don't understand, but I don't understand a lot. They cleaned her out really good, supposedly, and took care of an abcess. They also confirmed that she has NEC (Necrotizing Enterocolitis), which is causing ongoing problems
They can't give her blood thinners for the blood clot next to her heart because she just had surgery. And the infection she has is not receptive to antibiotics.
So she is stable at the moment and we continue on and hope that this can all be taken care of with time.
Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts. I don't know what I would do without my Helix family. You don't know how much it means.
I get discouraged because I can't be there and monitor things better. Getting updates on the phone gets frustrating, although Rosa is the best informed of the bunch, even better than Emma's parents. That comes from being a noisy old woman...
