The best Dell can do is glom onto iFone 3G hype and that old guy standing in front of the beached plane with a thinkpad and a useless card hanging out of the slot

| What makes you think this is connected to the iPhone? I mean, there's been a trend of PC manufacturers coming out with these "netbook" things essentially since Asus created the Eee PC. Things like the Acer Aspire, the HP Mini-Note, etc... This is just the first one to get mentioned on BBR, since it's vaguely broadband-related I guess. |

I meant the built-in access card and possible bundling to a service provider as is AT&T/iPhone. The HW company sells its product cheaper while being subsidized by the carrier costs. --

| Well that's just been the normal cellphone business model for years... initially Apple was trying to challenge that model by selling the iPhone 2G (or 1G? confusing terminology -_-) unsubsidized, after all...
Anyway, we all know the iPhone was stolen from the design of the Dell Axim |
