Re: [northeast] cat5 not allowed to be used in NYC for the ONT? I had my install done two weeks ago with Cat5 wiring in Queens NY. That is just BS coming from the tech.  Setting up the router and acquiring an IP address is done by running a script that is plugged into a USB port on your PC. I would not let them tell me that MoCA is the only way to go. |

| just called the 888 number and it has been switched to cat5, the tech was/is pretty pissed off. won't say a word to me while he is doing the install. my guess is he'll be here for another 2-4 hours |
