mjmsrPremium join:2001-08-25 Lombard, IL | Ok, what else should I have? After getting the itch to dump Norton 360, I decided to take some recommendations and installed the following on my notebook (Vista Premium 64).
Avast Pro SuperAntiSpyware Comodo Firewall Pro I am behind a wireless router - standard configuration
Should I be adding anything else?
Thanks, Mike |

I use AVG Antivirus -- the free version, sit behind a dedicated SPI firewall and I seem to have no problems with viruses, spyware or anything like that.
Seems like people have poor browsing habits and just click on things without paying attention to what is going on.
But you don't need to be running 3 antivirus programs, limited user account, anti-spyware programs. Be smart about surfing the Internet. |

 | You should not really have that much security software running.
Number one things to hvae is COMMON SENSE...Its what the operator does really controls security more than security software itself.
Run as a restricted user. Turn off services what you dont need. Run a router with NAT or SPI filtering. And thats it... |
