Happened to me as well. I've read reports online that some people have luck with just restarted their iPhones (as I did), or reinstalling the iPhone OS via iTunes "Restore" button. Though I've also heard that there are some people who can't get any of the apps to work at all. Even after multiple restores.

@sbcglobal.net		  Got a 3G iphone yesterday and had this exact same problem. Resetting the iphone as Tcub mentioned worked for me. Thanks!
