| [modem/router] Need a modem My sisters westell 6100 modem was struck by lighning (we assume). No power to it any more. We tried replacing the powerplug too. Verizon won't replace it without buying a new modem.
Can we buy a modem off of ebay (or if someone here has one for sale) and use it with verizon? Will a different 6100 work?

Carteret, NJ | Yes you can it's notlike cable modems which are registered by MAC address. Are you DHCP or PPOE? I have a extra Westell 6100 I am not using (I bought the Westel 7500) I will sell for cheap if interested. PM me |
