TIVO did not come up with the idea to record tv with a computer. Computer users of the 80s and 90s did.
Also we were recording TV way before TIVO ripped off everyone elses ideas using VCRs and other devices. Whoever gave them a patent is an asshole. -- »www.ryanoneill.us
