Thanks for presenting the idea well and anticipating some of the reaction. I don't think such a forum would be a troll fest, especially if it was apply to join like health fitness, or had anon posting blocks. It may also be more popular than some expect. But I am not supportive because I can't find in it any geek appeal.
Yes there are a few other forums that also lack a techie slant but politics will pervade other forums if not given an outlet and I don't think the same can be said of gay lesbian transgender issues.
Before this and many other niche interest forums appear I would want to see a "parenting for nerds" forum get added and I am not 100pc on that either despite having a strong self interest there.. |
