After it expires, I assume it no longer boots and says expired instead. There isn't anyway to buy it and extend the 30 Days, you'd have to order it from MS or a Certified MS Reseller/Solutions Provider to get the non-expiring version.

Don't feel bad, Not many individuals can. :[ That is a bunch to spend for a CD. This is the bootable CD that "Geek Squad" got caught using on customer's PC when Best Buy had not paid for any of the licenses for the product.

It looks like if you can scrap up enough for 5 or more OS licenses (basically being a VLK customer), it will allow you access to the software cheaper. You would have to contact a Microsoft Reseller and ask about the cost of the Microsoft's Software Assurance (SA) program for 5 licenses.

I don't know what the cost will be when it is released under the MS name. When it was Winternals ERD Commander, it was $1,199.00 per copy.
