en102Canadian, eh? join:2001-01-26 Valencia, CA | Personally... I'd have no problem with 3-6Mbps DSL. The telco's are being too greedy, making a slower ADSL and even Uverse VDSL pricier than Cable HSI.
a) Bundled triple play(close) TWC 6Mbps/VoIP/Digital TV (and analog) = $89/month (1 year) AT&T: Lowest price bundle: $44/month Ufamily + $25/month 1.5Mbps VDSL + $30/month VoIP AT&T: Best deal: $84/month U200+ 1.5Mbps Internet, $30/month VoIP with $200 cashback
b) ADSL: ADSL standalone... $30/month for 1.5Mbps, $40/month for 3Mbps. 10Mbps for $55 (Uverse)
Cable HSI: 1.5Mbps for $35, 6Mbps for $45, 10Mbps for $55 These are actually pretty competitive on standalone. Slight advantage to ADSL on the bottom end.
c) ADSL + Voice (POTS): $35/month for 6Mbps, $40 ($53 after fees) for POTS unlimited: $88, $83 for 3Mbps TWC: Voice + HSI = $79.99 for 6Mbps, VoIP. -- Canada = Hollywood North | | | yea and it pisses me off to See those prices.i did pay 74.95 just for pots unlimited, but cut it off last week.i told at&t when they got me dsl i would cut pots back on,but they don't care | | en102Canadian, eh? join:2001-01-26 Valencia, CA | I had POTS unlimited for quite a while, and was using DSL-Extreme (great service) for Internet, as it was as cheap, if not cheaper than AT&T, with better CS, and less B.S. DirecTv was getting pricey, and TWC bundle made it worth my while. I've been paying $40 POTS unlimited + $4.99 Canada = +$57/month on POTS.
Uverse has been available for +1 year, but not Uverse Voice, and they've recently canned new signups for Call Vantage (I guess they _really_ didn't want me as a customer) -- Canada = Hollywood North | |
