OK by me...

I'd take "slowsky" DSL from Verizon over capped "high speed" cable from Comcast any day. Granted, I have FiOS now, but the DSL connection I used to have from Verizon was better than the cable connection I used to have from Comcast (but that was then and this is now). Frankly, I'd take dial-up over Comcast--I'll never, ever be a Comcast customer again.

I said the same thing about Verizon a few years back and I am glad to no longer get a bill from them anymore. Even though FiOS is now available at my home, I have not jumped ship yet, mostly because of my previously horrible experience and the fact that any savings would only be seen by committing to long contracts. I'm keeping my month-to-month billing with Comcast for now. Admittedly, I'm not much of a power user when it comes to the internet, but if things change, or Comcast ever harasses me about usage, I'm switching again.
