FiOS in Whittier, CA.

Just had the Verizon tech crew out here laying down the new lines in my backyard. They told us it was for the new FiOS for the area, he also stated "We are laying the new lines down for FiOS, we will be removing the existing lines (current DSL lines) so everyone will need to switch to FiOS." I am sure he means years from now lol and not an immediate switch.

Re: FiOS in Whittier, CA.

I don't believe anyone has ever HAD to switch to FiOS and in fact, in many markets, they no longer pull the copper when you do get FiOS...

Re: FiOS in Whittier, CA.

That, is what I wanted to say to him, and be like "NO YOU MY FRIEND ARE AN IDIOT!" I am just not that rude, lol. I mean maybe someday when FiOS is less expensive and everyone has it they may in fact pull copper just to refuse or gain a few extra bucks from the copper its self.
