ummm... yeah.... k. Dare you to make a new topic in this forum saying latency is no longer an issue with Bell since game developers fixed it so that latency is no longer an issue...
Once you make that topic here, hop over in the teksavvy forum and make another topic and tell the people there they no longer need the premium teksavvy account with premium routing for gaming. Heck you may as well call teksavvy, ask for Rocky and tell him to stop selling premium routed accounts because you have single handley solved all latency issues with your words (which are fulla chit). |

Duped into believing? I think not. How about seeing is believing? Like I said in my previous post, it HAS made a significant difference in my gaming. To be specific, there's a lot less lag, ghosting, etc. I wasn't just parroting what I've heard else where. |

Really, though, fast connection speed is quite often moot, at least to me, because most places where you want to have a high download speed are capped (like rapidshare, unless you subscribe) or throttled (torrent).
For me and a lot of others, the latency is important because of gaming. Since getting switched to fast path my ping is now 15 - 20 ms faster compared to my interleaved profile, and it has made a significant difference in my gaming.

I had a 7296/1088 profile for over two months.. there's Screenshots of it posted here in the Sympatico Forum.
I don't know why it's so hard for Bell to set a profile properly. I did have to call and swear a lot though, that may be why they got it right.. |

I wanted to upgrade my account to 10 meg and had a confirmation number and all and nothing ever came of it.
the folks in the direct forum seem to be able to get things done quicker. |

Based on this change...fastpath on ADSL2+, I have upgraded my service to the 10 Meg Max with 100 Gig download limit from unlimited. I have checked my download usage for the past few months and this amount is definitely plenty for my needs. The latency issue was the thing that kept me away.
